Best auto-sliding hitch for an F350 puck system?

Hello,

I'm in the process of purchasing a Valor 40v13, it will be by first 5th wheel. Looking for insight on what hitch to get. I've got an F350 6ft bed SRW with the puck system, as well as a retrax rolling bed cover to consider...prefer an auto-sliding unit if that's possible with my setup. Any insight is appreciated.

I can't speak to the sliding hitch as I have an 8' bed. I got the retrax system and it's absolutely awesome. Very sturdy, keeps the weather out, easy to use, and secure. The only issue I've had with water getting into the bed is where the drain tube popped out of the box. I don't have any issues with clearance related to the retrax box and wouldn't think you would since it's pretty flush with the bed itself, but don't quote me as I don't use a sliding hitch.

We have a 2024 Silverado 3500hd SRW SB and installed a Pullrite Superglide. Works perfectly and very little maintenance, never worry about remembering to to release the slider hitch.

Thank you for sharing. Do you think the PRSG would fit underneath the Retrax when not towing?

It fits under our BAK-flip MX-4 with about 1" clearance. We mounted our hitch on ISR rails as we did not have the puck system.

We run a Pullrite Superglide in our RAM. Overall, it works well. I notice a bit of lurching when making a low speed turn, like leaving a traffic light. This is from the cam follower sliding off center from the neutral position.

There is an adjustment to make occasionally, when you start to notice a bump when starting or stopping. A simple stop on a threaded stud tightens it back up, but I did have to do it for each trip the first season. Now it's good for several trips in a row before it needs to be adjusted again.

I can't offer anything regarding your cover, as the current cover is above the bedrails, and it's a RAM.
