I run the 5 inch offset goose ball from Gen Y on our Paradigm.

We run a Gen-Y 5 inch offset on our F450 as the front of the Paradigm was too close to the open tailgate for comfort with the centered ball.

Now you have me thinking Can you share a picture? Does the extra 5" offset help reach the connection for the chains? I always thought it would be hard to reach those.

Though I don't believe it will impact the warranty, that is a great question. 3K pin weight on a longer "lever" definitely will increase the amount of force upward to the frame. It's out there on the web someplace regarding the force applied with offsets. I did not try to understand it, well I did but gave up. Essentially it's not just the lever but the entire system...torsion, grease on the ball, pivoting of the ball in the socket, etc. There is a point in time in the levering where the full increase occurs but that increase is "never" really applied fully. I think, not sure, @George might have talked about this before here.

We are using the Gen 2 where the chain connections are in the rear two pucks.
I still have a long reach.

I'm 5'10"....I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of a goose neck, but it sure seems like I'm gonna have to belly crawl to get the safety chains installed.

I toss them close and and stand on the tire and reach in. Happy I can still do it. ;-)
