2026 36v11 inverter prep

I found the sub panel that feeds two 30 amp breakers on the main panel. If I wire to those via an inverter how does the system work? Does it require me to turn off the main and turn on the two breakers? Just trying to wrap my head around this. If the inverter has an automatic transfer switch would I not need to turn off the main?

Buy an inverter with built in transfer switch....or you will need to add an external transfer switch.

With inverter with ATS, it will know if there is external power or not. Typical use case for this is boondocking and your off shore power. You would simply turn on the new inverter.

With inverter with ATS, you don't need to turn off any breakers when using the new inverter.

I saw your post on the prep. I totally understand now. Was gonna go with Victron but decided the single leg 3000 Renogy (ats) with the inverter prep to power the breakers to the right of the sub panel breakers was enough for me . Thanks

I'm currently working on a build with the Bluetti Apex 300. On my previous RV I did a full Victron install, but going with a more removable system this time. I took the inverter prep lines and converted them to 30A outlets. Then use the 30A in and out on the Bluetti plugged into those outlets. If I want to bypass the Bluetti, I made a 30A jumper cable. I also got the DC addon to provide more DC capacity.
