Ford F350 SRW and B&W Companion Slider Hitch

Hello,
I have a Ford F350 SRW short bed and considering whether to get the B&W Companion Sliding hitch or not. I have read that in the rear slide position it will hit the tailgate with rv having the Rotoflex pin box. If you have this setup, does it cause any issues? Thank you in advance for your input.

F350 here with an Anderson Hitch. Love it and is easy to hookup to and to install/remove from truck bed.
Had a short bed SRW F250 but was overweight so traded to F350 8'bed. Surprised at the better ride and with the 3:31 rear axle get better milage than the F250.

I have seen those sliding hitches fail, but not a B&W. I would never buy one, if I had other options. Just imagine getting into an abrupt stop and that slap hammer of a hitch has to really work (Especially if traveling above the speed limit) . Not to mention, if somebody gets hurt and the years of legal fighting, even if it just a vehicle damage thing. I guess I am the kind of guy, that buys too much truck for the trailer. Living on the margins, is not my style. Many are doing it and I have not seen a B&W failure. Do your research and good luck on the roads!! There is always a little beer can type car, waiting to test your cat like reflexes...LOL

The B&W can only tow at speed in the forward locked position. It's only for towing at lot speeds and reversing i want to say 10 mph? Had one and really liked it.

I kind of recall somebody saying here on the site that a lockout plate on the Rotaflex prevents the contact when backing and turning? I may be entirely wrong on that point. On our 340RL we rarely needed the slider function (SB CC F350 SRW).
