NorCold 20DCIMSS Refrigerator Failure

I have heard that typical refrigerators are not the best for an RV environment due to the motion involved during travel.

I also have the Norcold 12 volt 19 cu ft fridge.
The freezer compressor is shot and can’t be replaced.
A new Norcold the same size is over $7,000 cdn.
I’m going to replace it with a Dutchaire this fall.
Be aware the 19 cu ft model is deeper than the Norcold.
It will come within 1/4” of the island in a 310 RL.
Also, the smaller 17 cu ft is a little taller than the Norcold.
My fridge sits on a 5.5” base - not sure why as this base is apparently hollow.
There is a decorative cabinet board above the fridge that I’m hoping to remove and gain 2” more in height.
I’ll let you know how the install goes as far as screwing into the plywood base to secure the front legs / wheels.
As well as how / where to attach a small board above the rear of the new fridge in the slide-out so it can’t topple out.

That absolutely sucks. If I had to replace the whole unit i did realize that the 17 Cubic foot model would fit and the top of my wood trim would need to be adjusted for the additional height. I'm crossing my fingers this is the one and only issue with this frig... but i would not be surprised in a year or 2 if I'm back at it again with replacing the piece of crap.
