Max Air Fan Question

I can open the fan cover without turning the fan on but is there a way to turn the fan off without closing the lid? Hitting “fan off” turns the fan off and closes the lid.

I want the lid to stay open sometimes but have yet discovered a way to do this with closing the lid and having to reopen it.

Another question. I added a vent cover to the bathroom fan and when I open the lid it makes contact with the cover. Is there a way to set the height limit or is this normal? Feel like the pressure of the lid pushing against the cover is going to damage the lid.

Apologize if my bathroom fan nomenclature is confusing. Hopefully you get what I’m asking?

Thanks

Maybe tied in to the automatic close if it rains? Maybe the vent cover not for that max air model? I think there are a couple vent models?

My lids contact the cover too and started cracking at the lid mounts. They sent me two new lids and two circuit boards. Possibly the boards will stop the opening motor at a lower amperage (torque) (as far as I can tell). We'll see.

I’m fairly sure it’s the right one but then again, I’m not 100% sure of the model in the rv now that I think about it?
