Improper installation of Hardware

The couch slide out on our 36V11 became slow and noisy not wanting to retract, so i had it checked out by a certified RV repair company.
they discovered that the original installation of the hardware was done improper.
In requesting assistance from Alliance I've been told to bad so sad they will not stand behind their original defective work.
Anyone else had this issue?

This would seem like an odd response! Alliance is required to honor warranty within the coverage period for defects in material and workmanship.

If your slide is equipped with a BAL Exact slide, many of use had problems with those. In many cases, this is not a defective installation, BUT rather a product design issue where the drive motor deflects.

Bal is offering an upgraded kit and if your within your coverage period , this would be a warrantable item that Alliance/BAL would cover.

Generally speaking, when techs don’t know or don’t understand root cause, they feel compelled to offer their opinions regardless of their accuracy.

In no way am I disrespecting your tech, there just wasn’t enough detail shared to come to a conclusion on his opinion.

He could be 100% on the money, BUT if he is, I would be shocked that Alliance wouldn’t honor their mistake.

You might contact them yourself with pictures and details and have a discussion.
