Another Run At Requesting Another Category(O.C Can you help?)

So, more than a year ago, I made the suggestion to add a new category with the title of Recalls.
It never gained any traction by the administration staff at that time.
Given the recent recalls by Ford and Ram regarding trailer brake controllers, I figured it was time to make another request to have this category added.
Wouldn’t it be a benefit to the members of this forum to have a dedicated spot to store information on recalls?
It would be a great resource to have with information related to recalls on our trailers, tow vehicles, or any other components built into our coaches.

Please reconsider adding Recalls as a separate category.

Item for consideration: You are probably aware of this but if not here is a thumbnail recap of what currently exists.
You can search any vehicle recall status by the Vin#, have been doing it for years. NHSTA & each manufacturer tracks recalls & will send a report on multiple topics,,,accidents,,,title status,,,potential recall items by individual Vin#‘s, type of title,,,etc.
when we buy any used vehicle, car, truck, travel trailers, 5th wheel, etc. .we make it a point that on the purchase agreement & contract, the dealer list any applicable potential recalls and provide proof those items have been resolved. It is incumbent on the dealer to assure all safety issued recalls must be repaired, resolved, at no cost to the purchaser.
Each individual recall item has its own tracking # description of issue, and status and # of units, by model year,,,model aa#,,,indivdual Vin # with the ## of vehicles involved or potentially involved. (I.e. Paradigm, Avenue, Delta, Ford F 250, Chrysler 300 Resolution of recall repair/ replacement are also maintained by the respective manufactures if the government reporting is off line due to shutdowns etc.

Yep, understand and agree and use the resource myself. Thank you for engaging in the topic! Just thought it might be nice to have a dedicated spot on this forum to make others aware of official recalls as our 5,000 plus members might come across them.
Generally speaking, recalls rarely reach more that a 70 % +- completion rate, so the more visibility consumers have to the the recall, the better chance there is at increasing that number.

Interesting stat. Funnily enough, I was just thinking about what that number might be when I read the recent post on the Ram trailer brake controller recall.

Thank you for being open to suggestions and adding the category.
Your support is appreciated.

As I only volunteer my time here (no payment from Alliance), so I do what I can.
