Centering a Slide-out in the Opening

Found this video online and not sure if a member here made it but was curious if anyone has done this on their RV?

Is this normal for a slide to be off center?

My kitchen slide is off center and can't fit a finger tip on one side, two fingers on the other. I think that's why my seals are getting pinched on the tight side.
Was going to give it a try and looking for any feedback on this procedure.

Great video.

It would appear to be a fairly easy process, loosen a couple of bolts at the slide tube header bracket and get a few husky guys to push one way or the other to center the slide.

I believe that instructions are actually called out in the owners manual for both horizontal and vertical adjustments.

Get the wrenches out!!!!!!!🤣

PS, in your case with the toppers installed you would need to loose the screws that hold the arm to the box bracket so it will allow the box to move independently and of course retighten when you get the slide centered.

Took my 310rl back the first year and had my slide centered. Seen the video took mine back to my dealer to have it fix. I did not have any level or good area to do it at the time. I will say that guy in the video seems to do it better than the tech I had.

Watched and helped:
He placed a jack, 6x6 piece of wood, and 2x12 upon the slide floor, took the pressure off one side loosened the bolts smacked the end by the bolts with a hammer and moved the plate over about 1/8” or so and tightened it down. Then did the other side same way. Ran the slide in 2 or three times and everything was centered up. Still don’t think that is the approved method but is still right today.

Not saying to do it this way or claim it should have been done this way. Just my first hand experience.

It doesn't need to move much, 1/2-1" maybe. That's a good way to do it.

Keep us posted. You are having a busy off season.
I sure am. Trying to get things done as we are using the RV this weekend and headed to Arizona to visit the parents mid March. I knew there would be issues with a new RV and having some OCD doesn't help. Oh well, keeps me busy and that's the way I like it.
All the help here has been amazing and really thankful for everyone's input.
