Lead acid battery to Lithium battery conversion

I have a 2025 Paradigm 310RL. I cannot keep my battery charged when in storage by turning off the battery switch. What am I doing wrong? Second, I want to consider concerting to Lithium batteries. Will the charging platform from the factory convert to lithium charging? Is there anything i need to consider if I do so, e.g. how will it effect solar charging, will everything work the same because of using a lithium vs lead acid? I do not have a power inverter.

Welcome to the site.. :)

I'm 99% sure your frig is killing your battery while in storage. The battery disconnect does not disconnect the frig (we all hate this...Alliance should offer 2nd switch that does kill frig power)

You will need to get converter info/model number to see if it auto detects lithium, or if you have to flip a tiny switch to move to lithium profile.

You might need to set the solar controller to lithium profile as well.

You should consider removing the negative terminal on the battery or adding a switch on the negative cable to ensure all is off. On our '24 385FL the main battery switch does kill the fridge. I thing each model and production timing determines whether it shuts off the fridge.

So a couple of things come to mind.
1. Remember that main battery switch doesn’t disconnect everything. It is possible that the frig. is drawing some voltage. And it is likely certain that the Co2 and Propane dector is drawing voltage.
2. Is your coach able to leverage Solar Power while in storage?
3. If so, is the Solar disconnect switch in the on position.

As others have stated, certainty comes with a complete disconnect.

Personally, I leave my battery in all year round, hooked up with the main disconnect off and the solar disconnect on.
The frig is off. The propane/Co2 detector is on.

A quick check of my phone app indicates the current voltage is 12.9. The Sun is down and it is currently 18 degrees . And we haven’t used the coach since the very end of Oct.

You can track down your draws with a clamp on amp meter around the main positive battery cable and pull circuit fuses until it minimizes or disappears completely.

If you send an email to, I think, service@AllianceRV.com with the last 6 numbers of the VIN, they can tell you. I did that and found out that I just have to flip a switch and it lithium able.
