I have a 2025 Paradigm 310RL. I cannot keep my battery charged when in storage by turning off the battery switch. What am I doing wrong? Second, I want to consider concerting to Lithium batteries. Will the charging platform from the factory convert to lithium charging? Is there anything i need to consider if I do so, e.g. how will it effect solar charging, will everything work the same because of using a lithium vs lead acid? I do not have a power inverter.
So a couple of things come to mind.
1. Remember that main battery switch doesn’t disconnect everything. It is possible that the frig. is drawing some voltage. And it is likely certain that the Co2 and Propane dector is drawing voltage.
2. Is your coach able to leverage Solar Power while in storage?
3. If so, is the Solar disconnect switch in the on position.
As others have stated, certainty comes with a complete disconnect.
Personally, I leave my battery in all year round, hooked up with the main disconnect off and the solar disconnect on.
The frig is off. The propane/Co2 detector is on.
A quick check of my phone app indicates the current voltage is 12.9. The Sun is down and it is currently 18 degrees . And we haven’t used the coach since the very end of Oct.
You can track down your draws with a clamp on amp meter around the main positive battery cable and pull circuit fuses until it minimizes or disappears completely.
