Stress crack

I’ve had my 32RLTS for a year. Noticed this weekend I have a stress crack on passenger side living room slide. Anyone else experiencing this? I have extended warranty but wonder if this would still be manufacturer warranty?

Several people have had this issue, including me. To summarize, I was past the original warranty, but still within the structural warranty so Alliance said they would cover it.
Here is a link to my thread: Crack

I had this issue on both sides of my rig. Alliance repaired the cracks. I would suggest you contact them and have the repairs done at the factory. The repair people there know what they are doing. Also the factory repair process has improved dramatically from where it was a couple of years ago.

Regarding your extended warranty, you might want to look at this. Despite what they say many of these cover mechanical breakdowns, such as a slide, refrig, AC, etc and not this type of issue.

Good luck to you
Thanks for the feedback. I’m waiting on reply from Alliance.
Good luck to you. I am in that same boat as you with a stress crack in the same place and it just appeared this last weekend. My rig is 2021 365 RD so I don't have much hope that Alliance will do anything but still sent them an email today with pictures and am awaiting for their reply.

Update from us. Alliance got back with me and said they will fix it at no cost. All I have to do is get our RV to them where they will make the repair at the factory. All I have to do is get it to Elkhart at the appointed service date. What great customer service and note that my fifth wheel is a 2021 so they really do backup their products.

Is there anything we can do to identify this as a potential issue ahead of time and anything we could do to prevent it? Might be a stupid question.

Another "rabbit hole" to research. Now I am wondering why Elkhart is the only place a repair like this can be made? Sounds like an opportunity for any mobile RV repair guys out there! A quick look at the issue, leads me to believe a person who works with fiberglass repairs can also fix the crack. Azdel is a fiberglass product. The cause for the crack, could be fixed by the RV dealer. I would ask Alliance about what main issues are the cause of the cracks they have seen. Sounds like an adjustment to the slide. I would like to here more when it gets fixed!

I have had these cracks repaired at the factory. During the repairs I checked in at the factory daily since I wanted to see what was being done.

This is not simply a fiberglass repair, and I would not trust this to any RV repair guys. For the repair they removed the fiberglass skin in a large area. They then welded additional aluminum supports into the wall. Then they had to replace the fiberglass skin, get it to match the existing fiberglass and replace any decals that may have been damaged in the process. The repair guys at the factory have the know-how and the means to do this work. (On one of the cracks I had they had to remove the front cap, well beyond the scope of most RV repair places.) Simply patching the fiberglass will only result in the cracks coming back.

Finally, and this is an added bonus of going to the factory, they go over a lot of items on your rig and make any needed repairs. They repaired a lot of items on my rig that I was not aware of. The guys doing the work are super nice and willing to explain what is going on. It's a bit concerning initially when you walk in and see your rig torn apart, but after having them do this work I can say that taking it anywhere else would be a huge mistake. Also, from having been to the factory twice - the repair process is substantially improved from a couple of years ago,

I have an appointment at the fact in December. Looking forward to the visit.
Couple of suggestions for your visit - I showed up early in the AM several days with some Donuts from Rise N Roll Bakery and the guys loved it. One also commented that a number of owners showed up and were less than pleasant to deal with - they will really help you out if you work with them.

Secondly don't be surprised if you walk in and your rig looks like the Pic I am attaching - at first it's disturbing but they know what they are doing. When I was there, there were 2 of us with 32 RLS side by side getting the same repairs.........

We had ours repaired in July. The Alliance team was fantastic and went way above and beyond to take care of our frame issue as well as address a number of other issues, some of which we were not even aware of. We can't say enough about how amazing the Alliance customer service is. We were out of warranty for a majority of the items, they took care of us anyway. The Alliance Service Team are Rock Stars!

We had quite a bit of flex going on at the kingpin. All fixed now!!!

Looking forward to the adventure! I am planning to drop off then come back a couple weeks later to pick up. But definitely will bring some goodies! How can someone be unpleasant when an owner can take something back to the factory?

How long did all that take?

The repairs took two weeks. As I noted when you go in they give your rig the full look. Among other things they also pulled the slide where the kitchen is to replace the floor due to some rotting at the floor edge. It is worth what ever time it takes to take your rig in for the cracks. They will give you first class service.

We are going in a few months to get our 32RLS fixed at the factory. Question on logistics - did you have to take your personal items out of the trailer? Our slide is the one with the kitchen so do we need to empty the cabinets on that slide? Just trying to plan. Glad you had a good experience. I have heard great things about the repair work at the factory.
