We are in the process of purchasing a 2025 Avenue 32RLS. It states that it has the option for a third AC unit.

1. Do you think that, from your experience, that a third AC is NEEDED. Aware that it is probably nice to have one but is it NEEDED? ZAre the two adequate?
I have inquired and about having the third installed and was quoted $2300 + tax. I said no0 thank you.

2. I also asked what was the size of the two that are installed from the factory. I was told 13500 BTU on both the A/C's.
That seems awfully small for both. I was under the impression that usually you have a 18,500 and a 13,500.
Can anyone tell what is really on the unit? Not real confident that the (very young) sales person knows for sure.

Thanks and look forward to joining the Allies!!

I enjoy having three AC’s on my Paradigm. I guess it depends on how much you use the AC’s? I like it cold.
AC’s are more efficient now than before so 13,000 will cool it down. I usually just have two running, but have used 3 in hot weather. I like having three because it also allows you to have kitchen or living room ac downstairs and you don’t have to have it blowing on you to stay cool. Example, sitting in living room but running kitchen ac so it’s not blowing on you but still cooling the area you are in. I like plenty of cooling. You get three collmans cranking at once in a 33ft 5’er… You can hang meat it gets so cold.🫡

Welcome to the Alliance! we have a 2024 Avenue 32RLS with the custom paint and we love it. when we made the decision to purchase last September in Ontario, California it was 108° and when we went to check out the unit that unit only had two roof air conditioners on it and it was struggling to cool down when they were running both of them. on the day we were picking up the unit, once again it was 107° and it just was not cooling down. we made the decision to go with the third AC unit. it did cost us around $2,300 but we know we made the right decision living in Southern California. we wanted to be sure that this unit would be able to cool down in the summer months and we're so glad we did. now this is just our story. I don't know about anyone else but we feel it was a great investment. hopefully you make the right choice.

Welcome! We have same model but a 2024 with the 3rd a/c. I highly recommend 3.
We have not had any trouble keeping cool in the Texas heat.

Thanks for your reply. This unit is ujsing the Furrion Chill Cube 13,500 BTU units. I'm going to try it with two units and see. If not, I think I will purchase another and have a mobile tech install. The dealer wants too much at $2300 installed. MIght change my mind after seeing just how mch the A/C unit is just to purchase.

3 is always better. Like guns, better to have and not need, than to need and not have. Arizona heat….you will wish you had 3.
I would agree totally but seperating me from $2300 is a hard nut to chew. Will wait and see if we need and can always add later. Thanks for your comments and HAPPY GLAMPING!!

But guns we can trade, ACs not so much. Tongue in cheek of course. But I do really enjoy rifle and pistol shooting. The CFO (wife) has authorized a purchase of a long range platform (so expensive now) and I’m looking forward to getting back into that hobby.

We own a 2025 32RLS v1.0 with Coleman Mach ACs. Confirmed with my own eyes both are 15k BTU. I put a 3rd Coleman Mach on when I first got the coach. I put the unit on myself as they are a simple install. Unit delivered to my door via fedex. Paid around $1,000 for the unit. The hard part (not so much hard as aggravating) was I had to move the solar panel as it was installed too close to the vent where the AC resides. Still maybe a two-three hour job. No regrets.

True….but a couple weeks ago while camping during a fairly miserable midwestern heat wave, we had extra guests sleeping in our camper cause I keep her cold. Their air wasn’t cutting it. I tried to get 10 bucks a head, but settled for free beer and laughs..

I’m never afraid to admit I was wrong! I guess you can trade AC!
