Removing the 65 inch TV from 2025 385FL

Any chance you could use a piece of a wooden dowel rod, cut a slot in it and slip it up on latch. Or notch it out to activate the latch?
It takes 2 bends to reach it... its not a straight line to the handle - the lower ledge of the wall and even lower edge of the tv inhibits a straight device...

Make the L 90 As long as you can and still get it in the behind the tv. it appears to me that the lever is vertical and should move left or right the flat stock should be stiff enough to move the lever. If it doesn’t move from the left it should from the right if I’m correct. If it doesn’t you might try a torch. Sorry I shouldn’t laugh You’re struggling.

I have changed TV's in every RV I have ever owned with each having its' own degree of difficulty and engineering stupidity but I have not seen one this difficult to remove. When you eventually get it off, you may want to invest in another mount for future purposes.

I hope you're right. Even though this is the first issue that I dont feel has truly been addressed for me (out of 3) it definitely feels like the buck is being passed. I have more pics with my endoscope trying to hook the lever and how my fingers cant even get close to reaching the lever! I know I am not the only one with this problem either... there are 9 ports on the back of this tv and NONE are reachable. People still use DVD players, satellite dishes and even games.... but right now, not on this tv. If I am forced into playing with the grandkids... I'll really be pissed! ;)
Here is an idea that will take two people. Make two loops of webbing or string long enough to be accessed on either side of the TV. One loop will be a guide loop, the other will be the loop activating the lever. Have your helper place tension on the guide loop as you manage the lever loop and raise it to the level of the latch. Take the lever activating loop and pull to the latch to release.

Actually, If you make the loops long enough, it will not take two people. Your left hand can guide your right hand can operate the latch. 1753350511788.png

I have thought of something similar - but there is only about a 2 inch gap on either side of the TV - its a 65 inch set. My wing span isnt long enough!! But you have given me another idea....
I also dont positively know which way the latch releases.... I have been able to grab it and pull very hard to the right to no avail.
Once I get the tv off (assuming it happens), I will modify the latch by drilling a hole in it and add a wire or string to it to be able to pull on it in both directions.
I do enjoy puzzles similar to this, but in my age - my patience is dwindling!

Well, I got the lever to move to the left - wont move to the right. Still cannot unhook the tv. Looks like a 3 person job as the latch wont stay in an unlocked position (not sure if its supposed to) . Here's the tool I need to get the lever to move... Even took a video of the lever moving... but its too big to email to my computer... unfortunately, I wish I had made it left-handed instead of right! But it still moved it..
So disappointed in the lack of help on this one from Alliance. Just little bits of information could save me time and trouble.. not to mention a few scratches on the wood and tv...

I know the frustration you are having and this is important to you. But I have to tell you I’m giggling at the process! Not that I wish anyone any strife at all, and recognize that this is a PITA , but for whatever reason it reminds me of a Seinfeld episode! You’ll get it solved! Sincerely empathetic for the record. I get it completely.

Well, M&E and any others - I am happy to be a small comedy act for you all... LOL - but now I have finally solved it... <yippee>
Here are two diagrams for those that will encounter this problem down the road... I must also say that the mount appears to be made by or for Alliance and not available off the shelf, thus I couldnt find a pic of it anywhere to help me solve the puzzle. BTW - I also had loose coax cable connections - which may solve another problem I had on our maiden voyage....bad aerial reception.
Anyway - thanks to all for the help - it is truly appreciated!!!

Hi John,

Just wondering if you have filled out an application to be an AV technical support representative at Alliance?😂
Congratulation on figuring this out!
You will be applying for a patent on that tool, won’t you? That is some fine looking metal art !!!

I bet you feel a great sense of satisfaction and your solution to drill a hole and install a cable pull is brilliant !

Congraulations!

Hey, just glad I got the dongles hooked up before we go to the Northeast in September.
That is an interesting question though - I dont think my satisfaction outweighs the disappointment I have in Alliance. This mount appears to be a pretty standard mount as I saw it in other posts... but not close up. Had I been sent a picture of it - I would have known which direction at least to push it and how tall to make the tool (I made 3 of them).
But honestly, I got more satisfaction out of finding that loose coax cable (at both ends) .... I hope no one else has to go through this to tighten those!

Awesome! My name is Mike...the less fair half of M and E!

I would have invented new swear words if I had to go through this!
