We owned 7 and this is the first time it’s happenedGet used to it. Every rv I have owned leaks into storage. My valor is no different.
Oh boy… I’ll check it outWe don't get water in ours when it rains but I have watched the doors shape shift from "mostly flat" panels to full on convex shape when it gets closer to freezing - guessing thermal contraction on the metal door panel surround compressing the door panels.
I've read posts about the passthrough doors being mounted upside down and the weeps on the top letting water in the door panel surround channel deal and leaking into the passthrough area - IIRC they sealed the top ones and drilled holes in the bottom to correct this. Worth a look at least.
The lip looks to be ok. One door does have the seam so I sealed it but the other side has none. There is a lip around the pass-through storage opening. If you've put something heavy there or even sat on the opening, you might have bent that lip, allowing water to come in. Check that and let us know.
Thanks I’ll check that out, ours is the split door so that may be a possibilityOur door was too low and not getting enough coverage at the top of the opening. The Alliance crew fixed it at the Rally by raising the hinge side of the door. There are two screws they loosened, raised the hinge pin and retightened. Works great now.
Any way you could get a picture?Well, we had another heavy rain just a couple hours ago...
Leaks in back were fixed (we resealed the whole top of the door frames (slider and street side rear compartment doors)
The front pass through door still leaked - but checking it quickly the water was all on the left side of the door on the floor. As someone mentioned earlier the doors had drip holes on both the top and bottom of the door - the left most drip hole on the top was not completely plugged... caulked it and we'll wait for the next rain! Also checked behind the board on the left that has the switches - no water in there.
That would lead me to believe the water is getting in behind the door molding…..at least that is where I would look next. Here you go.. View attachment 3659
Any idea as to which screws? Our door was too low and not getting enough coverage at the top of the opening. The Alliance crew fixed it at the Rally by raising the hinge side of the door. There are two screws they loosened, raised the hinge pin and retightened. Works great now.
