Fridge on while traveling

That frig can pull up to 8 amp per hour. How many amp hours do you have? Will the batteries only need to support you while driving or do you plan on boondocking?

Yes, your solar panel on the roof and your 7 pin from your truck will trickle charge your bateries going down the road. it works great! get Yourself one of these refrigerator thermometers, I attached a link below . You keep it in the truck while going down the road and it will let you see how the refer is operating. That way if you loose power for any reason you can watch temp change on refer and freezer. Let’s you ride with confadence!

AcuRite Digital Wireless Fridge and Freezer Thermometer with Alarm, Max/Min Temperature for Home and Restaurants (00515M) 4.25" x 3.75"

I have a 2024 paradigm 380 mp with the Norcold Frig. will I be able to keep this on while traveling? thx
We have no issues with refrigerator operation while traveling. We have towed as much as 11 hours without issue. Solar and the truck charge line keep the battery topped off.
Remember the refrigerator cycles on and off so your current draw is a variable depending if the compressor is running or not. IMHO, you need not worry about the refrigerator, and like others , we use a wireless thermometer to keep visibility to the fridge/freezer temps while going down the road.

thanks for all the comments. My main concern was the level of refrigerator as it will be at a little angle when slide is in and normally they need to be level. As far as the batteries, I am not concerned as I have 200 AH lithium with solar panel and also a 48v system at 300AH which can charge the 12v system if need to be and also a onboard generator. I will check out the thermometer. thx

What you may be remembering about level refrigerators is in regard to absorption type (propane) units.
The 12v residential compressor types are not as sensitive to being level.
In re thermometers I like the Govee units. https://a.co/d/1PhyK7p for Bluetooth only or if you want them on wifi too... https://a.co/d/1eazFu2
Note that in the attached photo I have #1 & #2 both in the freezer compartment to check accuracy. My fridge is NOT -7º LOL

I really like the Govee monitors too. I have six bluetooth and one wifi. I have two in the Alliance now. The one called RV is in the kitchen monitoring ambient and Box is in the 12V Furrion set to low power mode. That's the "keep alive" mode that still uses a lot of power as it cycles between ~50° and 70° to help increase longevity.

All these Govee devices get most of their use in the winter keeping up with the weather and greenhouse temps.
