Just did our driver side door too. Here are before (roughly...forgot to take real "before") and after on our 340RL

OC,
What was the length of the strut you used on the DS Nautilus door? Do you have an Amazon link? Did you only need one strut to make it go higher Or did both sides need a strut? Can you send a picture looking strait on to it so we can see how and where you positioned the strut? Or like a measurement from the bottom of camper to where you attached the strut to the body? Sorry for the trouble but I will undoubtably hook it up wrong if I just guess? That’s how it goes for me most of the times if I don’t have instructions or an example. 😔
thanks

Nice thing is this great change will cost you nothing but 10 mins of your time. You will use the two factory struts. You will want someone to help hold the door up during this project.

Steps involved
  • Remove all 6 screws holding the struts
  • Here is where your helper holds the door up, while you reattach the struts
  • Move the bottom screw hole on struts metal bracket so the bottom hole will now screw into where the top screw was from factory.
  • Drill 2 new hole for the top and middle hole
  • Screw in screws to new holes.
  • Grab cold beer and enjoy a MUCH better line of sight into the storage area and hopefully less chance to whack your head on the door.

I was able to change mine yesterday on my 385 with the wilderness mattress. The 150 was perfect. Just had to pop the original ones off and new ones on. Didn’t move any brackets and works like a champ. Thanks
