Sliding closet doors

The mount clips that hold the closet door on unhook while driving. When we stop we find the closet doors have fallen off and have been banging around. After a few times of this, I wrapped electric tape around the hanger. It lasted the remainder of the season. I thought about using heat shrink to be a semi-permanent fix.
Has anyone else had the same issue, and how did you resolve it?

From the images, it appears you have not engaged the locking arm around the metal shaft.

Can you get the nut to tighten more on the locking arm?

Same thing happened to me. I also used electric tape to hold latches in place. Then I cut some pool noodles down the middle and slide them between wall and doors when doors are closed On travel day. Lastly I use a small bungy cord to hold the door latch in place. The doors stay put now. Zero issues.

Thanks for the note. I appreciate your ideas. Yes, I did tighten the nut to the lock. It loosens on its own while driving. The tape does work. Maybe I should add some lock tight to the threads and tighten again.

The other doors for the bathroom and bedroom are nice barn style. I wish they had used that same style, at least to match, but also, they are solid and never move.

Our closet doors kept coming loose and slamming into the wall, so we just took them off and put them in our storage shed. Now the bedroom feels much larger, and I do not have to squeeze my svelte body sideways to get into bed ;-).

I like to leave those doors open when I am sleeping so when, not if, I have to crawl out of bed with my svelte body at 3 am I don't bang into them either. Mine are pretty tight after I rebuilt the entire track mechanism after it came loose on the way home from the dealer...
