Greetings from northern Michigan

My wife and I have been traveling part-time in our motorhomes since our retirement 10 years ago. At the end of this trip, we are selling our Tiffin and switching to either a fiver or a bumper pull, not sure which one yet. Joined the forum to get some ideas and a feel for the Alliance line. Interested in how the owners like them and what issues they face. Heard a lot of good about the manufacturer and not so much good about the dealer network. Most of our extended travel is during the winter months (winter Texans) but do waunder a bit during the warmer season. Hope to learn about the proper tow vehicle and decide on the purchase.

Our 340RL is still in production. We narrowed our choices down to three brands: DRV, Brinkley, and Alliance.

DRV impressed us with its high-end finishes and luxurious design. Brinkley and Alliance, while not at DRV’s level, are still very well-appointed. We spent several days at the Tampa RV Show carefully inspecting each model. In the end, it became clear—no matter the price point, whether $160K or $90K, every brand has its issues.

What ultimately set Alliance apart was the feedback from current owners. Their strong reputation for acknowledging and addressing problems stood out to us. Service after the sale was the key differentiator.

Additionally, we love the off-side stairs on the 340RL, and the layout is ideal for us—especially since we’ll be working from the RV. Compared to DRV and Brinkley, it simply fits our needs better.

We are looking at the 310RL and the 340RL. We haven't seen either of them in person yet. Is the bathroom accessible on the 340 while traveling and the slides are in?

Yes...you can get to the bathroom with all the slides in, but you can not access the bedroom with the bedroom slide in. We have a 2023 340RL and LOVE it. The 310RL is also nice, but the opposite stairs, larger bathroom and huge pass-through storage were things that pushed us to the 340RL

We don't have one yet (paid for it...not yet scheduled for production) but like @Oregon_Camper said, we loved the features, and we also liked the price point. Honestly, it is really well appointed. They really seem to have given this rig a lot of thought prior to production. I hope it is as problem free as most have shared (they all have problems). Our last RV dealer was super honest he told us if we don't find a problem in the first six months we're not looking hard enough.

We sold our Newmar Mt Aire and went to a 5’er to get into smaller areas NP’s and smaller camp sites, not have to tow a car behind. We knew we needed a nice 5er but lots of the luxury 5ers are bigger than we wanted Defeating the reason for trading rigs?
We Decided the 295MK Paradigm was the right choice. We got full body paint and double pain windows and a generator as upgrades. It is the Smallest Luxury 5er we could find. It has been fantastic, we love it! We pull it with a Chevy 3500 HD SRW and have no issues with weight or handling. It is like the truck and trailer are perfectly made for each other. We looked at the Avenue, but coming from the Newmar or like you the Tiffin I recommend you go with the Paradigm. It was the nicest small 5er we could find.
good luck

These words accurately reflect the RV world. They apply to all brands, all types, and all models of RV's.
I wish all RV owners, especially newbies and first time buyers were aware of this statement
