KING BED LIFT STRUTS

we have a 2024 Avenue 32 RLS with the king size bed and we changed out the mattress to a wilderness mattress and was wondering has anybody changed out the struts that hold the bed up when accessing the storage underneath and what size did they use? the struts we have on there now do not hold the bed up as the mattress is too heavy. can anyone give me some insight onto stronger struts that will hold the bed up while accessing storage and where to get them? Amazon etc ? The ones we have now are lgpb-200-8 0 we are looking for stronger struts and don't know what length or how strong they need to be to hold it up and then be able to push the mattress back down and have it stay down without it flipping upwards. hopefully it's not too confusing. any help appreciated. thanks!

Is that a typo? Did you mean LGP8-200-80?
  • The 200 means 20.00 extended
  • The LGP8 means 8" of strutt stroke
  • The "80" mean 80lbs of force
I would suggest LGP8-200-100 or LGP8-200-150....with the 150 being my first choice.

got the 150 struts installed and they work like a champ. it was perfect. I thank you so much for the advice. now I don't have to try and lift that bed and break my back. lol
