Screaming propane regulator

As anyone had a screaming propane regulator. This is the regulator I think you call it on the secondary propane line. Whenever I use that tank you get a screaming sound from that regulator. See picture, any fix or just replace.

I've heard of them sticking, especially that one, but not making a noise. I don't think they cost very much. Personally, I'd just replace it.

Does anyone know if this regulator is installed upside down or does not make any difference. See pictures

I personally don’t think it matters which way it sits since it’s a PRESSURE regulator. Mine is vertical. Someone more knowledgeable may disagree.

Can a propane regulator be upside down?

Mounting the regulator with the vent in the upward position with tubing coming out of the vent pointing downward is not acceptable. Water will likely condense in the regulator and will not be able to flow upward which will not allow the regulator to function prope
