Norcold N20DCSS 12 volt shows E4 code

Bought a new 2023 Avalanche 390DS with a Norcold 12 volt refrigerator. Used it for the first time and while the refig works it had thrown a E4 code and it wont go out. The code is for door open but they aren't open. I tried to shim the magnets with no change. The freezer door also won't open after you open and close it. Seems to be a vacuum lock. Talked to 3 RV techs but none had any ideas other than what I tired. Anyone have any ideas?

That E4 error code is a huge PITA. We finally just muted it and forget about it. Yes...the door will vacuum lock for about 15-20 seconds. If you have to get in, you can slip a butter knife between the rubber seal and the door....otherwise just wait it out.

The rubber seal on my 12 volt fridge freezer door tends to fall off at the bottom and then air gets in the freezer and frosts everything up.
Anyone ever have that issue. It’s a pain to check it all the time? The one time you forget it’s off and then you have a mess?

Should I just order a new one?
Or glue it on?

Thoughts?

Thanks

Our door vacuum locks for 15 to 30 minutes. It's ridiculous. I thought it might have a vent or release valve or something. Seems like numerous people have had or have still got this issue. I really thought someone would have a fix or more info on how to resolve it. Thanks for your thoughts on it.

While never having done it on the NorCold in our RV, my wife and just replaced her Mom's freezer seal on the frig in house. Took about 20-30 mins. You don't glue it, it simply pops into a groove.

The last tech guy that couldn't help me tried to call them but they never returned his calls. Thetford owns Norcold and they say on their web site they wont talk to people about problems and to take it to a dealer. I'll try the number though. I couldn't find any way to contact them so Thanks
