Will solar on 310RL trickle charge batteries in winter?

I'm sure this has been asked before but couldn't find it. Taking delivery of 2024 310RL next week and pre-planning my winterization. Will the factory standard (not solar-plus option) solar panel (320W) serve as a battery tender and keep the batteries topped off during the winter? Basically trying to figure out what I'll need to do to the batteries.

Your standard Solar will keep the battery charged as long as you leave the Solar master disconnect in the on position. Assuming the panel remains clear of snow of course.

Thanks. So do most people leave the batteries hooked up on the solar on if they don't have power at the storage site?

I have made the decision to leave our battery in year round. We have had a 2024 310 RL since Sept. of 2023, so we are on our second “winter storage”. The solar keeps the battery well charged , there is minimum load on the battery during this period, smoke/co and propane detector are about it in storage.
I would recommend that you get the BT-1 (Blue tooth Module) to monitor Solar output and battery charge voltage.
Ours is stored at our home, so the short distance of BT isn’t an issue for us. I personally still find the info. It provides useful when not in storage, just to monitor solar health.
One thing I would recommend is checking fluid level in the cells monthly, if you have a Lead Acid Type Flooded Cell Battery installed. We love our 310 RL!

Probably an ignorant question, but I am a newbie with my 310RL.
I have her parked under the carport, but she's plugged into power 24/7. Will this hurt the batteries?

Good morning, this really should not “hurt” the battery any. The Convertor and your Solar Charger have logic in their controls that control the charge rates. You should however, make checking your cell fluid levels a monthly inspection point, assuming you have a flooded lead acid battery. The fluid will evaporate off during normal use and charging.
If you have another battery type, my statement might not apply.
Also realize that your solar output will be reduce given you are under a carport, but your Convertor will be doing the heavy lifting while plugged in. (Master switch on)One cavviot , that I haven’t validated on ours yet, is checking if the convertor charging output is active with the master disconnect in the off position while plugged in. It very well might not be, I just don’t know for sure to say with confidence. Others on this forum might have the answer.

I pulled my batteries? Was not a big deal. Now my batteries are in the garage and I am not worried about anything all winter.
