Great question. I've been under the impression after seeing videos put out by Alliance that the factory solar install is mainly to power the refrigerator. So I'm curious myself as I've been wondering what powers the refrigerator while your traveling down the road. Our old Forest River trailer we used propane but I've heard the horror stories about what that can do by having a flame burning while bouncing down the highway.
I have a lot to learn. :unsure:

So, the standard Solar is design to provide battery charging to the 12 volt battery. Given the refrigerator is 12 volts, it pulls power from the battery. The solar panels and your truck charging line within the 7 pin connector keep the battery topped off while going down the road.
