310RL Fireplace Screeching Sound

Every time we open and close our fireplace the rails screech like Hades is opening up! I tried spraying some silicone spray on the rails when we had it fully open recently but no change. Any idea(s) on what else to do? I am concerned about completely removing it off the rails and not being able to get it back on in order to better lubricate the rails. Thanks.

Initially I wasn't fond of the drawer, but I found it works well as my overflow area for large items I seldom use.
Yes those items should probably be removed from the RV since I seldom use them.
Nevertheless the fireplace drawer works well for storing oversized items and it sure beats a dead space.

Would be better used as outside storage with an electric 50 amp cable reel and build cabinets behind the tv and put the tv on the door….. just my opinion. Oh and keep the fireplace just no drawer

I can agree the fire place drawer could be better used as outside storage. Most of the things I have in the drawer are overflow items that would not fit in my outside storage.
Don't know if I am for a cable Reel I prefer a detachable cord.
Detachable is more versatile. I can use 20. 30 or 50 amp cord depending on the situation.
No need to use a heavy 50 amp cord all the time. Especially if you are on a 30 amp site.

I have mixed feelings about the wall. But I will say it allows for maximum storage behind fireplace and TV.

When opening the latch, push them both outward and then DOWN. This locks them open and the noise is gone. We leave it like this while camping and then once ready to leave the door gets close and you simply pop the latch back up to lock it in place.
Thanks I don't have the noise but I( wasn't quite sure how the latches operated.

The screetch comes from the locks. If you don't hold the latches outward, or lock them open, the locks drag on the tracks, causing the sound.

You can fit LOTS of bottles behind the fireplace.......

It was an Amazon purchase. Meori Collapsible wine tote bag. There are several other similar totes available. The soft, folding part is necessary to fit into the drawer. Once in, there is plenty of room to expand it.
