Motion light

Anyone know where the switch is for the drivers side security light?

Avenue 32rls
We have a 32rls and to my knowledge, after reading a few other posts, it depends on when your rig was manufactured. Ours was manufactured in May 2023 and there is no switch. I put painters tape over the sensor. I may take the bulb out if I have to replace the tape constantly.

I don't think I have these on my 2023 340RL, so I have a strange question. Why would you want to have these off? I am guessing they turn off after X number of minutes? I'd like to walk around my RV at night and have it light up my path for me. But...it will need to turn off within a few minutes.

In my situation we camp quite often in state parks where neighbors are close by. The light is so bright it illuminates the adjoining site.
I could see where it would be handy for more secluded sites.

How long until it turns off? I wonder if it is tied to any of the larger motion lights. I have one in the battery area and two in pass through. You can toggle them from motion or off or on.

When I got my 295mk a month ago there was no shut off switch for the running light on the roof cap? It stayed on all the time? Dealer had to rewire to the outside light Switch that is on the outside by my battery box.
I am still trying to figure out the motion lights in the bay? Is motion “ON” when clicked to the right or clicked to the left? Lights come on both ways? How long do lights stay on before shutting off? Mine never shut off, or at least not after 30 seconds? The light over the hook up station wont come on at all? It must be on a switch? Enough to make you go batty?

Any tips?

Mine are 3 way rocker switches. On Off Motion. This is just a picture from internet, but yours should be like this.
I think it is...
  • 1 dash = On
  • 0 = Off
  • 2 Dash = Motion

Thanks OC!
I looked and looked for a manual or one pager on the lights and could not find one?
I’ll check it out.
Chas pretty much reflects my sentiments. Number one, the motion light is very bright. Two, it's very sensitive. On our last trip, light rain triggered it all night long. I can imagine the frustration of neighbors in adjoining campsites. I had to draw the shades myself.

You guys could just add a outdoor rocker switch and easily turn off power to that light. That link has 4 of them for $9. Easy...simple solution to a problem Alliance might have created for you. Just like the hallway lights in my 340RL. The stairs are on the driver side, yet the only switch was by the door. Fixed that with wireless switches. Here is link the the video in case you're interested
