Considering an All Access 29RL

My wife and I are looking to possibly buy an Avenue All Access 29RL. Looking for current owner 's comments on how you like the unit, good and bad. We live in Florida, so the heat in the summer can reach temperatures around 100 degrees. Is this unit insulated well and can the dual 13,500 btu ac's unit keep up with keeping the inside cool?

Have not had our 29RL out in much heat but overall we have spent a week in it and are pleased with size and layout. We are not hot weather campers. Mostly spring, fall and south in winter to FL. Found several small issues with the camper during the PDI which dealer fixed and had 1 issue with the inverter being wired incorrectly which my son and I were able to correct with another wire being run to breaker panel. Overall very happy so far. 7ACMIKE

I have had mine out in 80 to 90 degrees and the bedroom AC is really good. The living room does cool but takes a while

Also looking at a 29RL, how do owners find the smaller fridge is it sufficient? Can you access the fridge with the slide in while traveling?

Thanks
Danny

It's fine for us...the smaller one is able to be changed if it goes bad without taking out the slide...$$$ to do that. We have found it's great so far

We bought our 29RL in May and have been it about 10 day so far and no issues with it being to small. Actually much larger than our old gas/electric and works better also. No, you can't access the fridge with slide in. The freezer you can. We moved the shelves in fridge so that a gal of milk will fit but so fat are very happy with everything. Thank, Mike

We love ours. We’ve had it a few months now, and have taken it out seven or eight times.

The air conditioner in the living room sort of sucks. I bought a $30 fan that I use to circulate the air from the absolutely frigid bedroom to the front room to solve that problem.

The shelving in the pantry failed pretty quickly on me a normal amount of canned goods. I assume I’ll end up reinforcing the shelving everywhere, as it all feels pretty flimsy.

The TV or the speaker bar is not functioning correctly. The sound of the tv is bad, and it doesn’t work through the sound bar at all. We put an Apple TV in there though, so we can connect via Bluetooth. This doesn’t help for video games. We will probably end up replacing the television sooner rather than later.

We have to completely disconnect our battery when the rv isn’t in use. If we fail to do so, it will be totally drained within 24 hours. The cutoff switches don’t do anything.

My advice would be to test absolutely everything before you take delivery!

I've had mine since May 2024 and I've had the same issues. Nothing else. I've tried turning off the the breakers and that didn't help either. Took mines out about 8 times so far and it's been great.

I did add a TV for the bedroom and it's better than the one that came with the RV.

Would I buy it again. Yes!

We have had our 29RL since May and have had almost the same issues. TV was junk and replaced, the shelving was pulled out, glued and then stapled and no issues since
My main disconnects do work but my son did the inverter wire in and corrected what he felt were a few issues. We did change out 15" tires and wheels to 16" and now are able to run level with Sumo Springs added.
A small fan seems to be a must in all of our campers to maintain somewhat even heat and cooling. Our stair rail was only screwed into the wall and no studs so fell off 1st week. Several minor things that I was able to fix but yes we still would buy it again as it works for us very well! PDI is an absolute must!!! Jim Beletti has a very good one if needed.

You nailed it about the living room ac...lol we didn't think of the fan in the bedroom to move some of the nice cool air to the living room....we will have to try it when we get it back from the dealership for warranty work....Roger

We have a 2024 29rl we live in florida. the A/C in the living area runs all the time during the summer. It can not keep up when it's hot outside. I understand that in the 2025 model's there is a option for a 3rd A/c. I spoke to a rep while at the tampa RV show. He suggested they have a more powerful ac that will fit in the same opening as the current ac but that would be a after market product. There currently is no where to put a 3rd ac on a 2024 model. When I put a thermoneter on the living area it runs about 10 degrees warmer than the bedroom ac. I took it back to the dealer and they said it's still within specs... I think that maybe has to do with the larger area in the living room....hope that helped

You could complete a quick check of your ac operation, what is the inbound air temp. vs the outbound air temp. ?
Generally speaking, a properly functioning ac unit would drop the air temp @ 15-20 degrees.

The new 29rl's are coming with an 18K Furrion Chill Cube in the main living area and an 8K Furrion Chill (regular A/C) that is ducted in the bedroom. We were at Alliance last week to see our 32RLS during it's construction. We ordered the 3rd A/C, so it has 2 18K Chill Cubes in the main living area and an 8K Chill in the bedroom.

Also, the furnace ducting is now the same stuff Brinkley is using, I think it's called Termaflex. It's not the thin silver ducting that has been used for years.

Now that is smart....my 2024 29RL living room is supposedly up to spec by our dealer after I complained about the lack of cooling in the living room...apparently those who purchased the 2024 29RL were used to test the units and major improvements such as going from 15 inch wheels and tires to 16 inch size
and now the AC units....Alliance reminds me of Space X making major needed improvements during each year's production...
