Basement redo.

Just thought I would share what I did with my basement on my 29RL. Removed the angle wall, relocated couple of water lines tied it all up and put some plexiglass in place of solid wall for for more light in the plumbing/wiring. Used the angle wall to fill in the area on side. I now have enough room for a MorRyde 60 X 33 sliding tray. Mike

Nice I was looking to do the same thing In my 29rl...do you have any more pictures?

Roger
Sorry Roger, I thought about more pics about the time I was finished. I didn't do any cutting of the walls just removed the angle wall added a PC of aluminum angle to one end moved it up to the drain pan and used some self tappers to screw the plexiglass to the angle metal, loosened the corner trim on the short wall, slid the plexiglass in behind the trim and tightened it up for a neat corner. Used 2 of the existing screws to lap the angle wall over the straight wall and screw in place. Measured everything to make sure the tray had plenty of room.
Hope that helps. The most amount of time taken was to belly up in the compartment and cut out 3 fittings and reroute 1 water line to get over about 6". Very easy overall! Mike

Plexiglass is a cool idea. Now I am noodling through, maybe placing some in the solid sidewalls. I am only 1.5 years into this RV thing, so I will wait for the list of things we carry normalizes. I am getting closer to removing all the dog fence (Gated community), thrown out of the storage area...negotiations are still ongoing

Got another question for all of you Alliance guru's out there. Adding a Moryde storage tray (33x60) after my basement redo and was curious as the the length and type of screws needed to attach the tray base? Seems to me I read somewhere that 1 1/2" was recommended. Thanks guys, Mike

I see you have mounted a battery charger to the wall. I assume the walls of the basement are wood? Thinking of doing some of this myself
