Slide out seal folding

Arrived at our destination earlier in the week and found that an area of a rear slide, top area rubber seal had folded under. Gently unfolded the rubber seal and all applied lube to both sides. Seemed to be OK all week. Arrived at our next destination today and the slide seal was folded again. Any ideas?

So, a slide seal flipper can be used on walls or ceilings that do not have a window frame or something that would slide under the slide to get the flipping process started.

We have them installed on our Kitchen Slide on our 310 RL. ( from factory)

I also installed them on the tops of our slide boxes to ensure the top seals flip every time .

Had another thought. You might double check to see if your slide box is centered in its opening.
This. You can tell in the photo, it is not. I'm willing to bet the other side is barely touching the wiper. Ours was the same way. Centering it helped but the big sectional slide in the 44V14 is tough to keep in its position in both extended and retracted positions to make sure its sealed well in both circumstances. Ours was not centered or square from the factory so I had to mess with it a few times to get it to where I have it now. It's still not perfect but it's usable. I avoided it for too long at first and it ripped the interior part of the wiper about 8 inches. I cut it off so it wouldn't keep tearing or sticking out under the exterior side creating a gap, and have left it for now until I get around to replacing the whole side.

I recommend another seal flipper at the top of the box and adjusting the slide (for squareness, and centered). Get a buddy or two with some kinetic energy (read sturdy mass) to give the box a good shove when the weight is off the sill. I did it myself and at 170lbs, I had to really fight it to budge.

My kitchen slide does it too. I just go around after setup and check. Also get on roof as sometimes roof seal doesn’t come out fully either.

After re-examining the folding on the sweep seal today, it’s probably best that we replace that seal and the bulb seal. Will contact parts on Monday.
Re-tried to smooth out the fold but not working. I have also ordered some of those flippers to add to the slide room wall. Amazing how only in a short time ( 2 years ) the rubber material hardened. Even though I keep the seals lubed. And the trailer sits under a car port when not in use.

Center your slide and leave your slide out for a few days and it will straighten out. From your pic it looks tight at the top. New seal will do the same thing if your to tight and mis aligned.

On mine it has memory at first but if sun is out it will straighten out quickly
