Did you consider one of those rounded bars? They help get the curtain away from your body while in the shower.

We did but thought it would come out too far. We don't use the shower that often. Mainly stay at state parks with no sewer hook up so we use the shower house 95% of the time

I think you can also rotate them up (rounded part up) while not in use to save some space, but it appears this isn't really a concern of yours. Nice job...keep the video's coming
