Norcold 12 volt freezer seal failure?

On my Norcold freezer drawer there is a black rubber seal that locks in the cold when door is shut. Sometimes upon opening the drawer the seal pops loose on the bottom and hangs down. When you shut the door the seal is not seated properly and freezer gets frosty because it’s not sealed. I end up on my knees checking it a lot. Once I reseat the seal it lasts a time or two then pops off again? Anyone had this issue? What did you do to fix it? Thinking of super glueing the seal into the groove it keeps popping out of? Thoughts ?

Thanks

Mine seals like crazy. Can’t open it and close it and reopen it. Problem is it covers with ice and snow writhing just days. Drain appears open. They mention some kind of defrost heater. Any suggestions

@Hotrodjohn Our Norcold N20 freezer is the same way (can't immediately reopen upon closing). I don't think it's frozen in place; it's that the warm air that enters is chilled and sucks the door tight. I can use a finger behind the pull to push open the seal so it equalizes the pressure and it opens fine.
Ours freezer does have to be defrosted about every 6 weeks of camping.
Waiting to hear something about a defrost heater you mentioned.
