No power in Valor 42V13

42v13, batteries are charging from solar, but the renology converter has no power. Rv is in storage, worked 3ish weeks ago. It has been on, was keeping fridge cool. It has been really hot the past week, is it possible that the converter shut off due to heat?

Hi @rjohn019 - I'm not very familiar with the Renogy product. Note that I believe you mean to say 'Inverter' vs Converter. An inverter creates AC power from DC (battery) power. A RV converter creates DC power from AC power.

In your Valor, is your Refer AC or DC powered? The answer to this wil lhelp other forum users better guide you to a potential solution.

Another avenue is to reach out to Alliance Customer Service at service@alliancerv.com. Include your name, phone, last 6 digits of your VIN and a description of the issue.

A lot will depend on what your solar set up is and how much power you are using. It would be possible to discharge your batteries by leaving the refer and the inverter on for 3ish weeks but it does depend on your set up. If the inverter was left on I would assume you have other electronics drawing power (Television for one).

Mine has solar panels and the renogy was showing it was charging, however the battery heating pad malfunctioned and stayed on causing the battery to shut down or lock out (not accepting a charge). The monitor inside was showing a couple codes but the main one was an overheat code (08 I think). Some Renogy Smart Lithium 100ah batteries have built in heating pads (actually inside the battery between the cells) and some come with a heating pad underneath the battery. Not sure about the internal ones but you can trace the wires from external pad and unhook if your monitor shows overheat code.
