Hey all , I am a rookie at this , my wife and I just purchased a 2026 Alliance avenue. When we went through everything at the dealer we found that the latch and screw to the locking compartment for raise and lower legs. It’s taking over 2 weeks but finally got the latch and screw, however I can only get 2 thread started . My question is what is the screw size and pitch?

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, I am not able to assist with your question regarding thread size and pitch.

I am confident that someone else will be able to help answer your question.

I carry this type of thread checkers for metric and standard in my tool box...these are real handy and store easily

A picture's worth 1,000 words.
This is the panel (outside) for my leveling controls.
There are eight (probably self drilling/tapping) screws for the housing.
The latch only has the one machine screw. So I'm not sure what you're asking about. Did the machine screw get cross-threaded? If so, you're "screwed". LOL You'll need a new latch unless you have a bottom tap. No idea of thread size.
Easy to find on Amazon or maybe even local big box hdwe store but it won't be keyed alike. 👎
Give us a picture and someone might have an idea.
Welcome to the FamAlly.

Probably a # 12 or 14 by 3/4", can find at Lowes or Home Depot. Remove one of the other screws and take with you. Not going to hurt to go one size bigger
