New To Us Owners of a 2022 Avenue 30RLS

We are recent owners of a 2022 Avenue 30RLS. Wanted to say thanks too the nice folks we met at the Golden Nugget RV Park in Anchorage, Alaska. We were introduced to the "Alli" gator tradition. Nice way to introduce yourself to other owners and fellow adventurers. Thanks to Frank & Maureen and Mike & Maureen.

Congratulations & Welcome to the forum from Oregon! Wishing you many memorable adventures & safe travels! Enjoy 👍🍀!!!

Congratulations! Curious, did you take the ferry or did you do it overland on your way to Alaska.
We drove the ALCAN highway. This was our sixth trip up here. We have family in Anchorage so we have been visiting yearly since 2021. As for the ferry ride from Bellingham, WA to Whittier - It's over $8k each way just for a 53' long set-up. Someone can correct me if this has changed - but you can't get further north than Haines, AK right now because one of the ships they usually use to cross the Gulf of Alaska is out of service for repairs. Oh, and that $8k fare doesn't include a cabin for the 3 day trip. But on the bright side, you can sleep on the fantail deck for free. Just bring your own sleeping bag.

Can you sleep in the camper while on the ferry? How much was the fuel to get to anchorage And what pitfalls befell you?

I had no idea it was that expensive. I recall reading something, clearly that was not correct, that it was much less expensive. Thanks for sharing that!
