You can deflect it enough to get a 1/4 x 20 carriage head or regular bolt behind it.
I used a regular nut and lock washer followed up by a lock nut once I had it snug.
My fear was breaking the plastic bracket, so use care.

Yes the bracket is kind of flimsy and you have to be careful not to break it white tightening the nut and bolt.
I felt putting on the plate was harder than it needed to be.
Even then I was questioning if the plate was secure.

Now that I think about it...I removed the factory license plate holder and put on one from our college.

It’s weird mine is not like any licence plate mount I have ever seen In my life?
I have to fasten my own mounting system as all I have is a light and this little plastic runner?
very strange?

Go through your dealer to get a warranty replacement.
Dealer will probably just slap one on for you.
They are not expensive or hard to find on line. You may just grab one and put it on yourself , depending on your dealer it may be faster?

We bought it used through the owner, so we don’t have a dealer. It looks like part of the tail light. Or at least mounted behind it. Looking at other 310rLs, they’re has a black piece at the top - possibly the light for the tag? It came to us broken so not sure what it should be.IMG_1104.jpeg

We have a 2023 295MK and mine was broken when I picked it up. I sent my info to Alliance and they sent me a replacement. This is the new one. You do have to pay attention because it is a little on the flimsy side.

My 2026 310RL has the license plate stuck to the trailer and is silicone tight to the body!
Is there a special type fastener to be used on this application? I can't get a nut behind the plastic!
Help!

You will need to cut the bracket arm free of the silicone on each side.
Then you can deflect it enough to get a 1/4 x 20 carriage head or regular bolt behind it.
I used a regular nut and lock washer followed up by a lock nut once I had it snug.
My fear was breaking the plastic bracket, so use care when trying to slip the bolt behind it, so the threads stick out towards you. Also be careful when tighten things down so you don’t crack or break anything. The bracket is certainty a bit Mickey Mouse.

Thanks, I've never ran into anything like this, and I am an old fella! This feels chincy on higher end model, for sure!

My 310 had a lic. plate holder that was also cheap garbage and I was having the same problem. I took my wife's hair dryer, and heated up the plastic really good. This let me flex it without breaking it and I slipped a nut behind each side to secure the plate bolts

Bryan, Thanks much. My license plate came in the mail a few days ago and was stumped on how to attach it. I pretty much followed your steps and it worked like a charm!
