the pump under are kitchen sink keep locking up and I have to back it up and put in new fuse, we always run clean water down it before shutting off any ideals

Hi folks, it would seem that the most likely cause is that something is trapped within the impeller or impeller housing causing the pump to bind.
The only solution I can think of would be disassemble the pump to check this area for some sort of foreign debris that shouldn’t be there.
If this inspection doesn’t uncover any obvious cause, then it would appear a replacement pump would be the next step.

Thank this is the second pump we put in .we are very careful to make sure and run lots of clean water down before we shut it off
