Kitchen sink odor

We are in a 2023 382RK. We have terrible odor under the kitchen sink when we are not on full hook ups. We do not have the vent under the sink because it’s vented directly out the side. When I run water in the kitchen sink, the odor will knock you off your feet. Doesn’t matter if it’s hot or cold water. We aren’t new to rving and we’ve dealt with odors before but this one has us stumped. Again this is only when we are not on full hook ups (no sewer). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Stumper for sure!
Are you able to share your “conditions” when hooked up to the sewer? One hook up or two, what valves are open or closed, can’t understand why you would only have a issue when not hooked up. It would appear to be rooted within the vent system, but odd that it only happens when not hooked up.
Sorry for the questions, just trying to help!

We may have figured it out. My husband took the vent off the side of the trailer and found an issue or two with it, fixed it and put vent back on. So far, the odor is gone! Hopefully that was all there was to it!!

We also have this issue. Do you have any details on the fix?

Try pouring baking powder down the sink followed by vinegar. Let it set for a while. Then flush with water. Then follow with one of those plastic corrugated long sink cleaners. Wash with water again. If needed try the baking soda and vinegar again.
