Ice Machine not working

Hello,

I finally decided to look into the ice machine in my Paradigm that I bought used last year. I hear and see the ice machine wanting to make ice. I see the shutoff valve under the sink is open to feed water to the fridge. But there is no water going into the icemaker tray. Is there another shutoff behind the fridge? Thoughts?

Thank you!

We have not taken delivery of our 340RL yet, but will in a few weeks. I'm following different forums and have some pals who have had their 340RL for about a month. It is a common "issue" that the hookup to the icemaker is missed during the PDI according to my buddies and also the posts on the forums. Maybe that is the issue?

By default, Alliance will not connect water line to the frig. That is the between the dealer and the owner. I would expect strong pushback from Alliance for warranty work, if you do hook up the water line and then you have an issue and get water damage.

I would skip the ice maker. Risk vs Reward? Last thing you want is a leak behind fridge you cant get at? Winterizing Is also a pain?

I’m not quite following. What argument would Alliance have to push back on a warranty claim? I would think that a PDI could not be considered complete if a system is left untested, whether it is the function of the water supply itself or the ice maker. I’m not being argumentative. I just don’t understand.

Guess my logic is Alliance did not connect the water at the factory and therefore if it ever leaks they could point the finger to the dealer that installed the water line.

I see. I was a little slow on the uptake that day I guess! Thank you. Now I get it.
