Howdy from South Cacky Lacky!

Darren and Lisa here, been Valor 40V13 owners now for about six months. We (I) am active on the Valor Enthusiasts Group on the Book of Face... wanted to say hello here. I (Darren) am in my final year of Military Service, will be retiring from the Army in the next 12 months or so.

I can tell you this. After purchasing our Valor, we have absolutely grown to LOVE it. We have had it in SC, NC, VA, WV, GA and FL so far, and the list is growing. We plan to do the Full Time RV thing once I retire, and the Alliance Warranty Team (A-Team) have been FANTASTIC to work with on our short list of deficiencies. Even with the small things that were in need of attention, nothing has kept us from using our rig.

We have really enjoyed the friendship and interaction with other Alliance Owners and look forward to helping future owners out with our experiences.

Thank you for starting up the Forum. I am losing patience with most Social Media these days. The forum is an alternate place for owners to share experiences and resources.

Again, thank you for making the forum, and thank you to Alliance for such an awesome RV!

Best,

Darren and Lisa McCall

Darren - CONGRATULATIONS on almost Retired! My husband Rob & I are Both Retired Army. We just left our Civil Service positions, sold our house and are on the road now with our 2 Dutch Shepherds. We purchased the 42V13, have NEVER been fans of toyhaulers until we were fulltiming in our Big Country (it didn't work out with 2 big dogs).....we stumbled upon the video "The Momentum Killer" we started researching & that's how it happened - ZERO REGRETS!!

So far we have gone TX-VA-TX and now TX-LA-FL and stops in between! We have been pleasantly surprised at how well it travels!! We pull into rest areas, open a slide, turn the AC on, give dogs a break, fix lunch and we all get to stretch our legs in tye AC! We used to have to leave the dogs in the truck & leave the truck running, which then it never got a break.

Tgank you for your service - you & your wife are appreciated by Many Americans! We hope to see you on the road!
Best Regards,
Rob & Renae

Howdy fellow Army Vets and fellow Valorians too boot!

We too have two big German Shepherds who LOVE to travel with us. I'm one of those hard headed LIFE Long serving guys, E1 to E9 to WOC to CW3. I will retire as a crusty CW3... 36 years in boots.

I will have to look for the video you recommended, that looks like something we need to see.

Our Valor has the basic solar package, and we are still having issues with our Onan Genset, so we can't fire up the AC at a rest stop, yet. I have to get the unit inspected by a Cummins tech, but I will have it all square before we go full time.

Thank you BOTH for your service as well. Hope to see you out there!

We will be attending the Rally in Florida, this coming March...

Cheers!

Retired Army here, as well. 30 in combat boots plus 11.5 in DA Civil Service. Can’t believe 41.5 years went so fast. Miss being in uniform….retirement isn’t that much fun in comparison. Retired in 1996 then in 2006. We travelled a lot until Covid bit us in Jan 2020; spent the next three years at home restoring our 1946 Spartan Manor camper trailer. They’re vintage campers plus the Montana…. soon to be the Delta on Thursday. What was your MOS, and where did you pull the pin? I retired both times from Ft Leonard Wood. Ordnance Corps; conventional ammo, but spent time in nukes as well as Instructing CGSC, CAS3, OOAC, them multiple assignments as a Combat Developer in Engineer, Armor, and Chemical schools. Three tours OCONUS.
