how to charge my battery with 20 amp shore power

I cannot seem to find this answered already. So, bear with me please. My 32RLS has a 320w solar panel that works great and charges the battery as I can see on the Renogy screen up front. However, I had it stored under cover so the solar was unable to charge the 2 6vdc wet batteries. I plugged the trailer shore power into an adapter to 20 amp service cord. I returned today and found the batteries were at 85% from parasitic drain. In other words, it appears it was not charging from the supposed onboard charger.

Before I open another claim, does anyone have any information on how this charging system is supposed to work outside of using the solar panel? I had assumed it was charging from the 50 amp power, but then again the solar panels were always in the sun.

Your converter should be charging the batteries in the scenario you have described.
Check your breaker panel for tripped breakers or blow fuses. Also , I have to wonder if your master disconnect might have to be on in your scenario.

You could validate charging with a VOM (Volt Ohm Meter)hooked up to the battery, to ensure you have charging output.

You should 100% be able to charge from 20 amp plug (but those are very uncommon). I have used a standard 15 amp (household) plug before.

Must be battery switch being off or converter breaker is tripped

I was able to do some measurements as was getting 14 vdc off the cord at the battery box. So, method of deduction... the shore power at my storage was probably dead. Nice, huh? wish i had an annoying alarm that goes off when no power to my cord... Thanks for your advice

14v is a solid voltage if the RV was unplugged from power within an hour or so. Resting voltage should be around 13.4 (ish). If you want to test your storeage lot power, a $22 120v AC tester like this will help. I keep one in the RV
