Good morning! Got a question for all you experts this morning....
We are making a trip to Broken Bow, OK this summer and this will be our first long trip with our new '25 Valor. It has the 800w'ish solar package and the 100AH LiPo battery. We have the 17 cuft 12V French door Furrion refrigerator. We will breaking our own rule, and the general rule of thumb, about not traveling more than 2-4 hours on a given travel day and will be on the road for a total of like 7 hours.
My concern is this... Let's say it's cloudy all day and solar is contributing nearly zero to battery charge, and taking into account that the truck will not be charging the battery via pigtail, by the time we finish the 7 hour trip, will we have enough charge left in the battery to properly run the hydraulic leveling system? I know the refrigerator and the CO/LP detector will be the only real draws on the 12V system, but not sure how much that draw will be to calculate the power consumption.
I tried finding a spec as to current draw on my specific fridge but in the manual, Furrion doesn't list a power consumption/amp draw figure, so I'm relying on y'all's thoughts and actual experiences.
Let me know what you think. Thanks!
