had an issue this morning with our 16 cubic foot. 12-volt furion side-by-side refrigerator. my wife opened the door and heard a couple beeps and the lights flickered inside the fridge. moments later we could smell like wire burning or that smell of a hot wire or something that may have got hot. does anyone know if when the refrigerator is running the fan inside the freezer that should blow cold air to the right side of the refrigerator at the top should be spinning all the time when it turns on to get it up to temperature and then shut off? I watched a YouTube video that showed that the fans on those go out. possibly the freezer seems to be holding but my coils are starting to freeze up. don't know how the defrost works on this or what, but I would think when the refrigerator is running you should feel the cold air in the refrigerator side coming through the holes we feel none but the compressor is running. I was thinking the fan may have just burned out. anyone have any ideas. thanks
