Everchill 12V in 36V11

We purchased our 2024 Valor 36V11 in July 2024. We are going on our 4th refrigerator in this unit. It stopped working the first time after less than a week. We have only been able to use it once. The fridge just stops working, no blown fuses, it just quits. Alliance says it is a Lippert problem (they purchased Everchill), Lippert has no idea, they told me it's "new technology" so in other words they have no clue. They told the dealer we can put whatever fridge we want in it since they can't fix it. Problem......nothing fits. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

I'm sorry you are going through this. We full time in our 44v14 and our Everchill BCD-455WTE bit the dust when I drained our batteries to 0 one night. It ended up frying a component on the control board and Alliance sent me a new board that fixed the issue (Apparently LCI/Furrion/Everchill/Magic Chef (whatever actual company is making these) redesigned the board with some degree of low voltage cutoff). I have killed the battery since then and it didn't fry the board again. Kevin Caudill is the Alliance service tech you want to talk with regarding this fridge. I saw his name in another forum post for fridge issues and he got us squared away and kept LCI moving.

All of this said, be prepared for defrost circuit issues with this fridge that result in frequent iced coils and temp issues. It seems to be a more reoccurring issue and is quite annoying if you full time.

I'll be posting a quick write-up soon on the fix for this issue that seems to be working so far. It took me a lot of googling and skimming other brand forums to find the info so I want to make it readily available in here since the valor line is sold with this fridge model.

Thank you for the reply. The dealer finally dug a little deeper and discovered a wiring issue (which I had been saying for awhile) and a missing fuse. Wiring redone and fuse installed along with another new fridge and so far so good. I will keep the Alliance techs' info handy in case we have another issue.

So our Everchill keep freezing up, any idea how to prevent this? (2022)
Our NorCold freezer section has started to ice up after 10 months in unit. Going to have to defrost soon. Using food up so won’t have to take as much out to defrost.

Hi folks, have you checked for air flow issues? Things like restricted grills/plugged vents, pet hair/dirt/dust etc. Restricted air flow thru the condenser/ evaporator? Unfortunately these inspections will likely cause you to need to pull the frig out from it cabinet to inspect and clean any debris found. Start with the easy checks first, air flow has a big impact on the operation. Also are your door seals in good shape?

is it the BCD-455-WTE model? I'll try and post the write up by end of week but tldr: you need to rewire the defrost circuit. I was waiting for a bit to make sure the fix resolved my issue and it seems it has. I'll post the write in this Refrigerators - DC sub thread.
