Delta 310 winterizing issue

Well, first I blew out all the lines. Using the Alliance Youtube video and the manual, neither mentioned the need to close the low point drains before blowing the lines out. I know... it's kind of a "well duh" but I was being very procedural:) But next pumping anti freeze through. I turned the valve over to the short hose which is inserted into the anti freeze container. Turned the Nautilus valve to City Fill. Turned on the pump and fluid came shooting out of the city water connection. So then I decided to use the short hose I used to use with my last RV (Grand Design). I connected that to City Fill, of course turned the pump valve back to its original position. Turned on the pump and it blew air into the anti freeze container. I'm sure I'm missing something but it all seems really weird to me. Especially the first event resulting in fluid shooting out of the city fill inlet. Please feel free to point out what "D'oh" step I am missing :) Thanks.

Sorry your having issues winterizing your rig!

Well, from where I sit, I would not close the low point drains while blowing the lines out. It kind of defeats the point of air pushing water to the lowest point.

I would however close them before pumping antifreeze back into the system.

What I don't understand is your comment of turning the Nautilus valve to City fill.

If your panel is anything like ours, the levers should be set up for the winterize position. Your hose from the antifreeze jug should be hooked to the water inlet connection, when the pump is turned on it would draw antifreeze from the jug and push it thru the system (bypassing the water heater)to each open faucet connection. Don't forget to open the toilet flush valve as well to get antifreeze into the bowl.

Hope this helps !

Sorry you're having problem, but is this the video you watched? Bill states to move to "Winterize position" not "City Water" position.
