The door latch cable on my Norcold N15DC just snapped effectively locking the door in a closed position. Because I’ve jimmied the poorly functioning locking pins on the doors before, I knew how to free the latch pin. Then I took out the broken cable and removed the door handle.
I ordered a replacement cable Part 640973. I was wondering how to install the new cable since it’s inside the door between the front door panel and the inside insulated plastic panel.
Do I use a fish wire to install the new cable? Or does the door need to be disassembled? The Users Manual, Installation Manual and Parts Manual are silent on the procedure.
I contacted Thetford Norcold Customer Support but so far that’s been unproductive.
Anyone have experience with this replacement?
