If it’s like my 310RL just take off the wood trim piece on the inside top (should be two screws) and that should give you the access you need.

Well, mine is different. Here’s a pic. Seems odd you can’t get to it. I would get a hold of Alliance and this question. IMG_7274.jpeg

i just bought a 252rl and first trip the damn slider came out of the plastic track slider. Seriously? Who in the heck decided that a metal stud screwed into a plastic piece was going to last. I'm not happy as this appears that this is going to be an every trip issue. Someone needs to 3d print a metal piece to replace the plastic

This is another interesting thread to me. I am not being critical of the repair processes/attempts (at all) but this is something that is usually really simple to fix by just walking out the door or using a hanger or something to grab the slider. But, it did not take me long to realize that the RV industry makes design and engineering decisions that are just baffling to me. This sounds like it might be another case of that. I said it before but sometimes it seems like a bunch of RV design guys were sitting around drinking beers and said "You know what would be funny? Let's take the pocket door and...."

i don't fully understand the issue as I have not had an issue with my pocket door. Are you guys securing your pocket door in the open position when traveling?

I made sure to secure the pocket door because i saw the issue on one at the show and they just blew it off. Then it happened to me on my first trip. I'm not happy at all. The amount of pot holes on the interstate inside of arizona doesn't help but hanging a door off a piece of plastic is asinine. The mdf valence that if it came off would make it easier to work on but it doesn't. So for 1k miles the door is hanging off not two but one piece of plastic at a bad angle. So its a matter of time before the other piece of plastic breaks. You will need a special bend 10mm wrench to attempt to put it back. If this isn't resolved then remember the discount tire commercial where the old lady throws the tire through the window... well....

Firehand,

You may want to send an email to service@alliancerv.com to get your issue resolved. Each time we have had a small issue Alliance has been quick to respond and resolve. They want you to be satisfied and be a 'Happy Camper'.

Give them a try and good luck,

I get it. Because it was your first trip I would not throw the baby out with the bathwater just yet.
It could have been just loose of not secured properly at the factory from the start.
Get it secured where you have a verified starting point before your next trip and see what happens. RV's will always be a work in progress.
If the door comes loose again, than you can feel justified on letting the door fly as you please!

The only solution i see is to put of block under the door to support the weight without relying on the plastic threaded slider while driving.
