Alliance Paradigm 370fb RV Transfer Switch Not Connected Correctly Caused Intermittent Power Loss, Fried Wires and Potential Fire

Hello All,

Thought I would share this in case anyone else is experiencing intermittent power loss inside their RV but shore power is still on.
We have a 2023 370FB that is 2 years old now and we're living full time at a permanent location.

We've been having random power loss to our rig that started about 9 months after we were living in the rig. I would check our shore power and everything would be good, surge protector working properly as well. I could unplug at the shore power pedestal and plug back in. All power would return and be fine for days, sometimes many months until recently when we started losing power daily.
I had a tech come out and we found our transfer switch was not installed correctly. Basically, none of the wires into the box or inside the box were screwed down to the connection lugs. The wires were just placed in the lugs, wires to the breakers were just wrapped around the screw but not tightened down and the ground wire was just laying on the lug.
It's crazy that Alliance would release a RV where you can see the connections are loose just by looking at the box before taking the lid off. We had fried wires inside the box which could have easily started a fire at anytime.
I'm glad I had another Ally on another thread walk me through the trouble shooting and I was able to have a technician come and we could see the issue right away.
We have an extended warranty so the transfer switch will be replaced and installed correctly.
Hope this helps and reminds Alliance to check all electrical connections before sending a RV out on the road where a fire could result from unsafe electrical installations.
Otherwise, we love our Alliance Paradigm. We've had some minor problems but we were able to have Alliance's great customer service help us or our local technicians.
All the best,
AL

Sorry to hear all the problems with that. As an Electrician I have seen it so many times, loose wires, not terminated correctly, insulation from wire under the lug. You are very lucky you found the problem. Could have be much worse.

I've seen many posts about electrical issues. Curious if you have a play book for us to go over the electrical in our rigs with a fine tooth comb.
