Can some tell me if the Base All Access models come with some Solar or do you only get Solar as an Option (OTG Solar Package)?

Thanks,
Mark

Our all access 29RL (ordered in Feb) did not come with the base solar package and if i remember correctly is was a $1320 factory option without Lion batteries.

Purchased 29RL in October. Came with 320W solar panel, Renogy solar controller, and no batteries. Dealer threw-in 2 6VDC lead-acid batteries which I got rid of and replaced with 3 100Ahr Li-Ion batteries. Did buy BT-2 bluetooth dongle to communicate with Solar controller. I am buying an inverter to run the inverter designated loads in the trailer.

I was going to buy 2 l-ion batteries for the same setup. Would 3 be a better match? Haven’t measured to see if they’d fit but I’m sure i could manage that . L-ion has them for $200 right now with Bluetooth

I purchased the WattCycle battery at wattcycle.com. Youtube has several teardowns from people I like and it seems like a good quality product which is key to avoid fires (Thermal Runaway). The price is currently $169.00 for 100 Ah. I went with the regular size without bluetooth. A single 300Ah weighs over 50 lbs. I went with 3 x 100 Ah batteries since they are about 20 lbs and I can actually move them around quite easily. I went with three because of the price and because you don't really want to mix and match cells later. I also purchased a 2000W Renogy Inverter (do the load calculations to determine size) with automatic transfer switch so when I am connected to shore power it switches from batteries to shore power for $300. In your set-up don't forget the bus bar, fuse/circuit breaker, heavy duty cables to handle the load. The 2000W Inverter is fused at 250 Amps so I am using 2/0 cable. Read your Inverter's instructions since they all have little things you want to include. The battery "well" in the trailer will fit 2 of my batteries, I am removing the battery vent cover since that is for unsealed lead acid batteries. With the mini-size batteries you will need to check dimensions.

Oh. Didn’t know thermal runaway was still a problem. I’ll definitely look into that. Wound up buying 2 of the 100 ah with heaters. From L-ion

Thermal runaway is still the number one failure for Li Ion batteries (for different reasons). The heaters will allow your batteries to charge and discharge in cold weather.
