I already had my own TPMS with a small screen for the truck cab that I prefer, but I needed to install the repeater at the battery box. On my previous trailer I installed it inside the battery box then put an external toggle switch with an LED on the box. That was fine, but every time I wanted to take the battery out for trickle storage I hated disturbing the wiring.
Anyway this time I wanted to use the 12V already wired to the tire linc prep, without removing or replacing the tire linc prep (for future resale). Instead, I wanted to put a clean looking ABS plastic box with a switch there over it, and hide my TPMS and fuse there. I measured, cut, wired and soldered this box, and the install looks pretty clean. No screws or tape to mount the box, the Tirelinc holds it in place.
