32RLS Furnace

Last night was our first time camping in the cool weather with our 2025 32RLS. It was the first time that we used the furnace. The furnace seemed to work fine and blow warm air out of the bedroom floor vent, bathroom vent and the vent under the kitchen island. However, the bedroom AC would also run whenever the furnace kicked on. There was definitely cold/cool air blowing directly out of the AC and the ceiling ductwork. I tried it again later this morning and the AC still ran whenever the furnace ran but the air seemed not as cold as last night but it certainly was cool. I looked in the owners manual and couldn’t find an answer to this but my best guess is that it’s supposed to run on fan to blend the warm air coming out of the furnace vents and it’s probably drawing outside air so that’s why it feels like cold AC cooled air? Can anyone either confirm my suspicions or provide another explanation as to why the AC runs in conjunction with the furnace fan?
Thank you in advance,
Hank

I agree that this isn’t normal.

There would appear to be something wrong with either the T stat or wiring.

we have a 2024 32RLS and have no problems when the heater is running. i can confirm that the bedroom AC should not be on when the heat is in. is your thermostat on the wall in the bedroom set to off for both the AC where it says cool and the fan where it says run or on ? sounds to me like it could be a wiring problem at the thermostat. my thermostat in the front living area on the wall. when we turn on the heater it says heat and fan on.

well, now that I quoted above about my 32 RLS furnace went to turn it on this morning and it turns on the igniter is igniting the clicking sound. the furnace turns on and shuts off immediately like it flames out. I went outside and listened as the fan was running and could hear the igniter clicking it. lights and heat comes out for about 2 seconds and then the propane shuts off. any ideas?

Hmmm, our 2024 does not have a heat control in the bedroom. It only does AC or cool. The controller in the kitchen controls our heat from the propane heater throughout the unit. It also controls the a/c or cool in the kitchen area. Turn off your controller in the bedroom if you need heat and don't want them to compete with each other.

Skyskioc, I recommend you read the manual on the furnace section for troubleshooting. You should have a QR code next to your panel inside the trailer if you don't have the manual downloaded. But, as i just read it, it refers you to troubleshooting which I cannot find in the manual from Alliance... Here is the model they indicate is in the trailer for your reference. it seems to say to take it to a dealer for repair if after 3 tries it shuts off. You do have propane, correct. Silly question, but we all miss this one sometimes. Best of luck.

I think that I may have figured it out. When I scroll though the modes Cool comes up before Heat. I need to make sure that when Cool mode lights up that the fan mode says O. It was set to A. The thermostat for all of the modes in the bedroom is mounted on the side of the dresser.
The thermostat/controller for the living area is a remote that fits in a holder on the wall next to the pantry. It still seems odd that the furnace and AC would both operate simultaneously and as some suggested, one might think that something is wrong with the wiring however I did post the same question on the Alliance Facebook group and the “Fan on O” was suggested by several as a remedy. So there you have it.
Thank you all for the suggestions.
