Just installed. I have to say it was a bear to get it up in, aligned, and bolted up. I still need to torque to specs but a question to others. How many bolts were you able to use? I installed mine on the second row of holes from the top of the Lippert pin box housing. And could only use 10 bolts. Not the 12 I purchased from Gen-Y.

I installed the gen y a couple of weeks ago. I used ten bolts. Gen y said use the same amount of bolts that were in the original install (ten). I installed the pin box on the second row of horizontal bolt holes. It looks like if the hitch was pushed up, it might align so twelve vols could be used.

I used the very top holes and was able use 14 bolts to secure the Gen-Y.
On the lower bolts, I did have to grind a flat spot on the washer so it would clear the flange radius and make full contact with the mounting surface.

Be sure to recheck your overall coach height after your install to be sure you know what your new coach height is .

We had the dealership install our Gen-Y on our '25 310RL before we arrived to take possession. I know they were in communication with Gen-Y during the process so I'm assuming they installed it correctly. Ours only has six bolts securing it to the mount.

I have a 2025 340RL and likewise had the dealer replace the factory hitch with the Gen Y. Ours looks that same as in justdee's picture.

Here is a pic of mine. I couldn't install it on the higher bolt holes. And I am glad. The way it is installed now, I have 6.5" bed clearance and it runs very level so I am going to go with how mine is set up.

What number GenY gooseneck hitch did you folks buy for the 310RL? I see there are different ones and didn't know what to look for.
Thanks,
Roy

You will need the Rhino Box style, and then use your pin weight to determine which model you will need.
For us it turned out to be GH-8056AL
Gen Y folks are very helpful, don’t be afraid to call and talk it thru with them.

While using the GenY gooseneck hitch on a long box Chevy 3500, can you drop the tail gate down and not hit the trailer (5th wheel)???
I don't have one yet, just curious!
Thanks!

I have a Ram 3500 long box so my tailgate has plenty of room. Not sure on the Chevy.
